  5. The EMIS Serial/Lot/Bin Control Management System is a standalone module which
  6. can also work in conjunction with other EMIS modules. This system allows
  7. businesses to establish a variety of inventory control techniques and policies
  8. such as serialization, lot tracking, and bin control. Featured within are
  9. user-defined transaction codes that determine the level of inventory control by
  10. stock location. In addition, serial or lot numbers can be auto-assigned or
  11. manually generated for purchase order receipts or shop floor receipts to stock.
  12. The system will maintain a comprehensive transaction log that can be used for
  13. analysis and auditing. Shelf life reporting and where used when goods are sold
  14. is also available with EMIS Serial/Lot/Bin Control.
